| Florida, indeed, the Nation will benefit from a School of Journalism and Modern Media which is light years ahead of the disorganized, out of focus, pointless and uninformed media of today. While today's media is highly versed in technical production, it has now goal other than to titillate and shock. Even technical production skills are misused. How many productions have the "background" music make it impossible to hear or understand the voices? How often do programs mix two or three plots into a single one hour show to hide the fact that none of the plots are worth producing? How many productions use speed of changing shots, combined with three second visual 'image blasts' to compel the viewers' attention when the underlying script is childish and undeveloped? We will teach unified production skills so our graduates will lead the media industry in productions that combine coherent, focused plots with technical expertise to provide the audience with compelling and fascinating experiences which communicate! Our graduates will set new standards of excellence for every aspect of the media industries. A foundation of our school is unique among today's schools of journalism and media: we demand that our students be educated! Not merely trained in speaking methodologies, visual techniques or selling advertising. In the immediate future we offer many opportunities for entry at all levels. The first priority of our new University is a national media campaign combined two highly focused goals. The first goal is creating national awareness of the destruction of America's education of math and the physical or 'hard' sciences, the resulting shortage of skills vital to the survival of America as an independent nation, and communicating the urgency of immediately curing the situation. The second goal is to raise funds for our University so we may begin educating the 3,000,000 math and science teachers necessary to rebuild America's leadership in technology. The challenge is how to interweave these two goals into print, radio and television public service announcements which will captivate viewers and inspire them to become involved in the new American renaissance. We must inspire the public, and inspire the members of today's media to embrace the rebirth of American education! Current opportunities include the following.
